NoRightClick is a lightweight Framer utility component that protects your published site from unwanted right-clicks, keyboard shortcuts, and developer tool access. Perfect for creators who want to safeguard visual content, custom code, or design assets.
When the component is added to your Framer project and “Prevent Right-Click” is enabled, it attaches browser event listeners that:
Block Right-Click: Disables the context menu across the entire page to prevent image or text saving.
Show a Custom Message: Displays a small floating message (default: “Right-click is disabled on this page”) near the cursor when someone tries to right-click.
Block Developer Shortcuts: Prevents keys like F12, Ctrl + Shift + I / J / C / U (and Mac equivalents) from opening the browser’s developer tools or viewing page source.
In-Canvas Indicator: In Framer’s design or canvas view, it shows a visual label, so you know the protection is active—this doesn’t appear in preview or on the live site.
Drag and drop NoRightClick onto your canvas anywhere in your project (it doesn’t need to be visible).
In the right-hand property panel, toggle “Prevent Right-Click” to enable or disable protection.
Optionally edit the Message text to display a custom notification when users attempt restricted actions.
Publish your site—protection will automatically activate in Preview and Live modes only.
